All Saints' Sunday
This Sunday is a time that we set aside each year to remember those who have passed away since we last celebrated All Saints' Sunday.
You can still submit a name for us to include by emailing office@firstumclombard.org. Let us also know their date of birth, death date, and their relationship to you. A photo would be wonderful.
One of the most important parts of this Sunday for me is that we also celebrate communion. It reminds me that when we celebrate the table of Christ, it isn't only us gathering here. This table bends time and space, because around this table are gathered not just those here now but all those before us and those who will come after us. The table unites us with past and present, inviting us to this sacred ground where we walk this way together.

Wreath Sale
Men's Fellowship Christmas Wreaths & Decoration Fundraiser is happening again this year. The signup sheet is located in back of the sanctuary. Global Sewing Ministry Collecting Plastic Bags
The global sewing ministry is now making sleep mats for the homeless. We will be recycling used plastic bags from Jewel, Target, Walmart, etc and weaving them into mats. We purchased a basic loom from the Midwest Mission that will yield a 6’ x 3’ mat. We will be keeping the plastic bags out of a land fill and producing something necessary to keep people off the damp ground! So how can you help? Just bring your plastic bags to church where we will have a collection container.

Prairie Central District Advent Concert-Sat., Dec. 7th
Your musical gifts are needed! Anyone who is interested in performing (solo, small group, choir - you choose!) Individual & combined choirs come together to proclaim our Savior's birth. Participate in and enjoy the sounds and songs of Christmas. Experience the United Methodist connection.
Concert will be hosted at the First United Methodist Chruch of Glen Ellyn (424 Forest Ave., Glen Ellyn) at 3pm.

All are welcome to attend our prayer group dedicated to praying for our congregation, community and world needs will meet every Thursday morning at 9am in the church chapel at FUMC.

A liturgist stands up front and leads us all as we say our call to worship, opening prayer, and sometimes reads the scripture. They help us all do "the work of the people" on Sunday.

Coffee& is a special time after worship. Help us by preparing coffee and bringing a tasty treat to share. Our Men's Fellowship handles the Second Sunday of each month, and our United Women in Faith take care of the third Sunday.
