Joins Us Sunday!
This Sunday, Deaconess Catherine Inserra will be joining us as pastor Michael is away. Catherine comes to us as the Manager of Faith & Community Relations with Kids Above All. You might recall that Kids Above All was established in 1894 to help six orphaned kids from Chicago be able to find a home. They've since grown to be one of the larger relief organizations for kids all over Chicagoland. Catherine's last sermon was about the Lord's Prayer, where we used movements to give voice to prayer. Some called it one of the most meaningful sermons they had participated in. This time, she'll be using the image of a bicycle. That's all we know so far. Come and find out more!

Midwest Mission School Supplies Collection
At the end of the school year, so many perfectly good supplies get thrown away - barely used notebooks,pencils that still write, crayons, backpacks, and more.
But in Honduras, many students don''t have access to even the basics. What we no longer need can become exactly what someone else is hoping for.

Midwest Mission Sheet & Pillow Collection
This year United Women in Faith will be collecting new twin size sheet sets (fitted sheet, flat sheet and pillow case) or new standard pillows to send to the Midwest Mission. Microfiber sets are fine. Please put sheets and pillows in area by recycled bags by Thursday, June 11th. Men's Fellowship Chicago Dogs Baseball Outing
Men's Fellowship is hosting a Chicago Dogs Baseball Outing Saturday, August 1st @6:00pm This is open to the entire church congregation.
This is a great event for families. Ticket price is $15.00 per person with parking $3.00 per car. We have secured 20 seats with an option to expand to 40 total. Please contact Steve Flint at mensfellowship@firstumclombard.org or cell 630.336.3340 to purchase a ticket by July 1st.

Union Railroad Event
Men's Fellowship is hosting a Union Railway Museum Event on Saturday, August 8th from 10:00am to 5:00pm. This is open to the entire church congregation. This is a great event for families. Pricing per person is: adults ($20), seniors and youth ($18), children ($16). Veterans and Active Military Personnel and families are free with ID. We would leave the church parking lot at 9:00am if you want to travel as a group. It is about an hour drive. Please contact Steve Flint at mensfellowship@firstumclombard.org or cell 630.336.3340. Card Ministry
Check out the card rack in the back of the sanctuary. Cards are available for $2 each or $3 for 2. All proceeds go to Kids Above All! Thank you for supporting the Card Ministry!
